The Journey Starts, first posting 26.5.2018 - Johanna & Tuomo
Hello This is our new blog about travelling to the United States of America someday to hike the famous Pacific Crest Trail or PCT, mighty 2650 miles long (4250 km) hiking route, which starts from the border of Mexico and ending to the Canadian border. The PCT will pass through California, Oregon and Washington states in it's way continuously. The route is taking care of by PCTA - Pacific Crest Trail Association which is now celebrating it's 50th birthday (1968 - 2018). As this is an enormous journey to hike through, we are now starting to prepare for this challenge bit by bit slowly. It may take us 5, 10 or maybe even 20 years to complete this, but this is our lifetime dream so we are getting to this passion. We are 30 (Johanna) and 36 (Tuomo) years old married couple who have four kids aged 9, 5, 3 and 0.8 years.
